Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame
The best superhero movies on Disney Plus open with two Marvel propositions, belonging to Phase III of the Film Universe.
Their heroes are the Avengers – a group of individualists with extraordinary abilities who have distanced themselves even further in the face of recent events. They will soon face a trial that will force them to put aside their personal animosities.
Here comes Thanos (Josh Brolin), remaining on the trail of artefacts called the Infinity Stones, which would enable him to realize his darkest visions.
The only chance to save the world from destruction is the collaboration between Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the rest of the superheroes. Will they be able to persevere on a common front?
Logan: Wolverine
As you can see, Marvel’s superhero movies are the undisputed leader of their category in Disney Plus (and not only).
During the screening of another of them, in the foreground, we see Logan (Hugh Jackman) – a broken Mutant and former member of the X-Men group.
Many years have passed since the events of the previous “X-men” and “Wolverine” films. Mutants are on the verge of extinction. Our hero has lost most of his old companions, the ability to regenerate and his old spirit. His old, challenging life was replaced by the profession of chauffeur and caring for the ailing Charles Xavier (formerly Professor X).
However, the past reminds him of himself when a woman he doesn’t know asks him to transport little Laura (Dafne Keen) to the Canadian border. The latter turns out to have more to do with him than he might have suspected.
Iron Man
Disney Plus superhero movies would not be complete without “Iron Man”. This film is unique for many reasons. It is significant, among others the fact that he opens the First Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In it, we meet Tony Stark (Robert John Downey Jr.) – a playboy and genius inventor, dealing in the arms trade. While others tremble at the thought of war, he sees it as a way to make a lot of money. At least until he falls into the hands of terrorists while visiting American soldiers in Afghanistan. It is under these circumstances, under conditions of enslavement, the first Iron-Man armour is created.
Having regained his freedom, the man is now a completely different person. He breaks with his past and enters the path of a superhero. The tool that is supposed to make it possible for him is the aforementioned armour, which he constantly and secretly perfects.
Deadpool
Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) was once a secret services agent. Later, however, he retrained into the role of a mercenary.
When he met Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) , he seemed to have found his happiness in life. This, however, mercilessly clouded the diagnosis he was given – a malignant tumour.
He sees his chance for rescue in alternative medicine. So he undergoes an illegal experiment, as a result of which he gets rid of the disease. And acquires … the ability to quickly regenerate.
However, the cost is high. His saviour turns out to be his torturer at the same time. The side effect of his miraculous healing is complete disfigurement of the body. But this is not the end…
The Incredibles
The TOP movies about Disney Plus superheroes ends with the animated production of Disney and Pixar from 2004.
Once upon a time, the world was full of superheroes. Over time, however, they lost the trust of the authorities, facing accusations of breaking the law. Now they lead (or at least try to live) the lives of mere mortals, and the Parry family is no exception.
Bob (formerly known as Mr Incredible) is now an employee of an insurance company. After work, he returns to the suburbs, where his wife Helen (formerly Elastigirl) and three super kids are waiting for him. Nevertheless, she misses her former life. So when the opportunity arises to taste it again, she makes a risky decision. Its effects will soon be felt by all his relatives.
