Football Manager 2023 premiere
Like every year, FM will allow all fans of virtual football to forget about what’s outside the window. While this year’s autumn will be full of football emotions associated with the World Cup, the next edition of the real time-devourer will certainly not go unnoticed. Football Manager 2023 will hit the hands of players on November 8, 2022.
As with previous versions, FM23 will be available in beta about two weeks before release.
What platforms will FM23 be coming to?
For the first time owners of PlayStation 5 consoles will be able to play FM. Of course, the game will be available in Game Pass, so Xbox users will also be happy. In addition, FM23 will go to the Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store or Apple Arcade (in this case, it’s also a debut). There will also be a version designed for the Nintendo Switch.

What’s new in Football Manager 2023?
There is still some time until the game’s premiere and, as happens every year, Sports Interactive is gradually presenting the news related to FM 23. So what do we know about the gameplay at the moment?
FM23 – confirmed news
Let’s start with the match engine, because it couldn’t do without its improvement. Rival coaches have been improved, bringing the player into a real tactical battle. The defensive play will be improved to make it more comfortable to play for example on the counter-attack. Goalkeepers will be more realistic with new 3D animations.
Confirmed earlier are the official licenses of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League. The most important European cups will have complete schedules and official names, which will certainly please those who pay attention to such trinkets.
An important new feature that will appear in Football Manager 2023 is the squad planner. It will be possible to rank players according to their suitability for the team, for example. The roster planner will also allow you to include potential transfer targets in your squad to see how they will fit into your team initially. The scouting center will now have the ability to filter players by their stats and not only by attributes. The scouting reports will now take into account the real performances of the players and not just their potential on paper.
Improvements have been made to the boring recruitment meetings in FM22. In the new version of the game they will be more dynamic and give more specific information. Thanks to this the player will be more willing to participate in them.
A new feature in FM 2023 will be a slightly more detailed trust of the fans. Their liking for the coach is supposed to change dynamically, quite strongly influencing his position. The graphs are supposed to show the support of the fans in percentage terms, dividing them into the most ardent or the so called “picnickers”.
There will also be more focus on the manager’s history. Players are expected to appreciate their own career in this way, revisiting moments of glory.
FM23 rumours
There has already been a lot of innuendo about female football in Football Manager prior to the release of previous editions. Miles Jacobson, director of SI Games, confirmed that women’s football will be coming to the world of FM. However, he didn’t add in which year it will happen as the undertaking is huge. It’s worth adding that the world’s best female footballers will make their debut in Fifa 23.
We still have to wait for more information. Fortunately, most of it is already revealed, and more, if only AI plans to show it, will see the light of day soon.
