Overwatch 2, the free-to-play game, launches today
Overwatch is not the most recognizable brand in the portfolio of the Blizzard studio, but the 2016 shooter falls on the account of the studio’s success. It was not surprising that there was quite a lot of interest in the new part. Overwatch 2 debuts as planned, just today.
The game is available on PC, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. What is important, probably even very important, Overwatch 2 is offered in a free-to-play model. You’ll have to pay for so-called battle passes, and it’s possible that this topic will come up in the near future, as their prices are quite substantial.

Overwatch 2 launch with problems
The likes of naysayers have arguments to write and say that as the launch from Blizzard, so do the problems. Well, not everyone interested in Overwatch 2 has a chance to play tonight.
Neither did we, on greeting we saw a message about a long queue. A small consolation that we are not alone in this. Or the fact that for some of us it appears that there are zero players in the queue and the games do not start anyway.
Others also experience the unpleasant “unexpected server error” message. And even if you manage to get on the server, some of the lucky ones report problems with disappearing items.
Minor gameplay flaws seem to be receding into the background for the time being. Blizzard assures us that they’re working on a solution to all of the inconveniences, but you can be sure that it will take a while.
Overwatch 2 – what’s new?
As you can see, we’re waiting for the opportunity to take a closer look at Overwatch 2. The most important assumptions have not changed here in relation to the first part, the creators present their product as a team-based action game. Overwatch 2 offers PvP gameplay and 5-on-5 battles. There are well-known heroes, but there are new characters (three to be precise), there are also previously unseen maps (six to be exact) and a Pushing mode.
PvE missions won’t be made available until 2023. Below you can take a look at the plans for Overwatch 2 in the coming months.
